Volunteering
Whether it’s helping at the Fishguard Bay Food Festival or supporting Ford Pawb, our community kitchen, volunteers are at the heart of everything we do.
Our projects simply wouldn’t be possible without the enthusiasm, generosity and dedication of local people who give their time to support our community. Whether you can spare a few hours, help occasionally or become a regular volunteer, we’d love to hear from you.
Volunteer opportunities include welcoming visitors, serving food and drinks, food preparation, helping at community events, supporting festival activities and assisting behind the scenes.
By volunteering with the Fishguard Bay Sustainable Food Initiative, you’ll meet new people, learn new skills and play an important role in creating a stronger, healthier and more connected community.

"It was great to volunteer in the cafe at the Food Festival and to see the community coming together to celebrate the amazing local produce we have. I went to a few talks at the festival and it was fascinating to learn new things about the local sustainable seaweed farmer Car Y Mor. The variety of stalls selling local produce was vast and the buzz in the hall was great. I was amazed at how much food is produced locally and will be looking at supporting local producers"
